Primacy Factor

Describes a phenomenon that happens to the majority of people in a conversation. The first few words that come out of the persons mouth are positive, followed by negative statements. You only remember the first 2 words or so, and ignore the negative words. Thereby giving that person the benefit of the doubt due to most people's inability to recall words or statements past the first few that were said.
He said "I Love You" and the everything else he said was a blur. I thought he said I was too skinny and needed to eat more, but I can't be sure.
