power snap

A way of snapping your fingers, making a loud (powerful) sound. You perform it by placing your middle finger on top of your index finger and then swiftly snap it into your palm (4th and 5th finger following).

The restaurant was noisy, so the man used a power snap to get attention from the waiter.

Commonly occurs by accident as well and is highly embarrassing and mortifying.
