Said to be an Americanized form of the Hispanic name Ybarbo. This name is found predominantly in LA, where there is also a place so called.

A city in NW Louisiana (near Zwolle).

Many Ebarb people still reside in the NW region of Louisiana, some of whom practice Native American traditions.
