Booped

When a baby macaque monkey is dead or has died or the sound or call a mother macaque makes when she realizes her baby is dead or has died.

A mother macaque will carry around her booped baby's carcass until it's literally a thin strand of skin resembling a dirty shoelace.

Boopsida

A joyful, incurable condition characterized by the irresistible urge to gently tap (aka “boop”) the cold, wet nose of an animal — most commonly cats and dogs. Boopsida knows no bounds of age, species, or social setting. If the snoot is near, the hand shall boop.

Symptoms include:
– Sudden hand extension upon sight of a snoot
– Quiet utterances of “boop” during or after contact
– Emotional satisfaction when the nose is cold
– Willingness to endure side-eyes from pets who are not in the mood
