A phrase used to describe the action of someone who is trying to change someone's perspective for the better, but they will not listen.

I told her not to go back to him, and he cheated on her anyway. Giving her advice is like trying to help the blind see.

Hym "Imagine I toss a coin 10 times. At a whim. All 10 times the coin toss comes up heads. You (on the other hand) toss a coin 10 times and try to get it to come up heads 10 times in a row. It doesn't. The first toss comes up tails. How does the fact that you "tried" effect anything? What you're doing now is no different than saying that because I wasn't TRYING to get 10 heads in a row the fact that I DID get 10 heads in a row has somewho been invalidated. Which is preposterous."

The Roman Try

Having absolutely zero knowledge on a topic before the attempt, and stumbling your way through the most chaotic, mentally ill and pyrrhic victory you’ve ever achieved. Subsequently learning almost nothing until halfway through another attempt.
