a real nigga roll call usually refers to a congregation of a good size that includes the best of the best of your homies.

but in other cases time this can refer to a large strike force that you can utilize to hit someone.

for example: 2x AK gunners, a rocket man, stationary minimi gunner, 4 dual glock gunners, a pistolero, and jesus (who is gunnin'). this makes one helluva strike force

Actual, true, genuine.

In general use, it describes objects, persons, experiences, etc., that are what they are said or purport to be.

That which is described as real is genuine as opposed to counterfeit, false, or merely supposed.

Your child is having trouble grasping the English language. He keeps referring to himself as the realest thug.

return of the Real

Term used by psychoanalysts, especially Lacanians, for the eruption into social life of impulses or phenomena which have been repressed from the symbolic order in the process of the formation of a master-signifier. The excluded element is not destroyed but returns in a form which is incomprehensible and terrifying. A "return of the Real" is a sudden eruption and interruption which spectacularly reveals the contingency of social relations and shatters fixed certainties.

For instance, Slavoj Zizek analysed September 11th as a "return of the Real": the repressed fundamentalist impulse which was the hidden outcome of the US's own activities produced an explosive and terrifying result which rocked people's identities and the existing political framework.

A reworking of the return of the repressed.

Doesn't make as much sense outside Lacanian ontology, because the violence and negativity of the "return of the Real" are crucial to its use as a concept. One can reconfigure it to some extent if one suggests that the social order makes its own Real, so that the phrase "return" is simply figurative.

When one succumbs to the ultimate epitome of stupid or annoying comments/suggestions and they require the comment, "Real Gay," to be thrown at them. Or when a group of men travel to La Follete, Tennessee to Norris Lake.

Note: Does not pertain to homosexuality.

real world

Lame ass MTV show, where they stick a couple of just out of college kids in a house, so that we, the viewers can listen to their converstaions, which usually go something like this:

P1: "Hey."
P2: "Hey"
P1:"What do you think about Joe?"
P2:"I don't want to move our relationship to the next level"
P1: "..."
P2: "Lets go to a club"
P1: "OK."

... And this sort of thing continues. Unfortunately, it is the preference of some friends of mine, and is constantly on TV.

P3:(on the phone) "I don't know if I'm ready to move on, after Melissa."
P3: "yeah"
P3: "Mhm, I know"
P3:"..."
P3: "Alright. See ya"

Me: Did I just waste 20 minutes listening to a one-ended phone conversation on MTV? omg.
