color breeder

A derogatory term for a domesticated animal breeder, usually dog breeder, that exclusively selects breeding pairs based on the skin color/coat color and markings, to the detriment of other selectable criteria.

Specifically, this is not a racist phrase regarding human genetics and human interracial offspring.

I do not endorse their dog breeding program, they are a color breeder, selecting nearly exclusively for coat color and fur markings.

Details (noun)

Verb:

Selective color

The horribly outdated and tacky way newbie photographers show off their brand new editing skill. Editing a photograph so that a part of it is in color and the rest is in black and white. While this edit does work in some rare occasions, selecting parts of the photo with no relevance adds to the hatred of this dying fad.

...Then she asked the photographer to edit her kids jeans using selective color. What is so special about those jeans, and why do they need to outshine her darling children?

Counting-Color

verb

The act of taking notes on the color of people's skin when determining how to treat said people.

Or the act of arbitrarily highlighting the color of a person's skin.

In a sociopolitical or philosophical argument where someone is unjustifiably holding on to skin color as the basis or part of their argument, you might say "stop counting-color"
