The term can also be used with a clever pun with the popular pop band named Imagine Dragons. The joke can be achieved by convincing someone to say "imagine dragons" and with you finishing with saying "Imagine dragons deez nuts." The pun basically implies that you imagine dragging these nuts.

It's easy to tell the person using it is either A) 10 years old or B) just found out about the vine and doesn't want to feel left out regardless of realizing that it's over 6 years old now. "these nuts" is a much more sophisticated and usable joke and isn't downright childish. You can have so much more fun with it, and actually make it enjoyable for listeners
