Esto trae aparejado un gran daño a la autoestima del susodicho, ya que ¡no te pueden apodar Jarra (imaginate que te guste una chica y que, pese a tu nariz enorme, por alguna extraña razón esté dispuesta a darte bola: no lo hará si sabe que te dicen Jarra)!
Con el correr de los días, la personalidad del apodado es afectada de tal forma que pronto la Jarra se apodera de él, y lo convierte en un chiste. Generando así miles de apodos derivados de nuevos aspectos (o viejos, que anteriormente pasaban despapercibidos) de su patético ser. Una vez alcanzada esa situación, Jarra se suicida o se opera la nariz al cumplir la mayoría de edad, y se muda para siempre del pueblo iniciando una nueva vida.
