A person who makes stupid definitions for words people don't use and tools who add their names on Urban Dictionary. Most common with teenagers looking for an ego boost.

"Holy shit, did Ashley seriously just add her name to this website in order to feel good?"

"Yeah man, she needs to get a life. She's an Urban Dictionary Jackass."

Jackass gene

When someone has the irresistable urge to do something stupid and comical despite the judgemental review of his/her peers. It is not unnatural to feel like it is hereditary and passed down from an older brother or sister. Common among large families with elder sons and daughters notorious for being idiotic pranksters and jokers.

Older sibling: You got 10 days of suspension for pulling the fire alarm and setting off the sprinklers again?

Younger sibling: Yeah, I don't know what came over me. I saw the fire alarm and it was like it was calling me. Whats my problem?

Older sibling: Well, like me you also carry the Jackass gene. It's this family's urge to do stupid stuff for fun. Looks like I passed it onto you. Take pride in it.

Younger sibling: Bitchin'

Jackass Button

An imaginary button that causes someone to become a complete jackass.

Coined by Bill Engvall in "Blue Collar Comedy Tour: One for the Road" when he was describing an incident during one of his flights.

Bill: Lady, I didn't get up this morning wanting to be a jackass...but you just pushed my jackass button.

Jackass Plant

The guy/gal in the class who always asks the stupidest questions, and is there for the sole purpose of making the other students feel smarter and keep them from dropping.

My buddy is thinking of starting a blog with all the quotes from the jackass plant in his Accounting 101 class: “Can you just estimate physical inventory? Working in a warehouse straight out of high school with no air conditioning sucks!”
