But Alec himself doesn't seem to be able to find love until he meets Magnus Bane, the high warlock of Brooklyn. At first it is thought that he a strong attraction to his parabatai, Jace, but after realizing that it's against the law to fall in love with your parabatai, and that Jace is straight, Alec lashes out in anger only to find Magnus. He comes out to everyone by Magnus crashing his wedding to Lydia Branwell, and walking down the isle towards Magnus and kissing him. Alec is a hard working 23 year old man, who is dedicated to his duties as a shadowhunter, but mostly dedicated to his love, Magnus, and his friends and family.
