Assumption College

Known better as "Consumption College". A college in the rich suburbs of Worcester, MA. The only people you'll find here are athletes not smart enough to play at a respectable Division II school, or aren't good enough to play Division I. Along with the half brain dead athletes you'll find Jesus freaks and general weirdos. The academics are a joke and the graduates will just end up working for the graduates from all the schools they couldn't get into. Surprisingly, the guys aren't that bad looking but you'll be hard pressed to find more than a dozen attractive girl on campus. But the girls are so ugly that they will sleep with anything and anyone.

Assumption Guy: I go to Assumption College, all the girls here are ugly
Holy Cross Guy: Dude, come to Holy Cross, the girls here are smokeshows
Assumption Guy: I would, but I'm so dumb they won't even let me on campus

mr assumptions

A person who says he doesn't assume everything, yet does. He also probably calls the girl who broke up with him Ms. Assumptions, but he stalks the girl he used to have a thing with or date, and then assume everything she tweets and posts on instagram is about him.

Daamn my ex! Back at it again with calling me Ms. Assumptions when he's the one assuming everything is about him. He's the one assuming here - a Mr Assumptions.

AssumptionWare

Stands for Assumption Software.

Software which performs actions that it assumes is OK with the user. An example of AssumptionWare would be a program that installs into a directory with no option for the user to specify a different one. Another example would be a program that writes log files with no
option to disable.

Windows can be considered AssumptionWare, since it automatically installs Internet Explorer without option.

assumptioneer

An assumptioneer is someone who works in a field very similar to that of an engineer but they do not have tons and tons of accurate data available to make decisions so they have to make lots of assumptions, hence this makes them an assumptioneer - doing assumptioneering work.

Project Manager - How is the work progressing on the facility design?
Design Manager - Jon has been struggling with a lack of data but as we all know he is a great assumptioneer
Project Manager - ok as long as we clearly document all our assumptions in a concept document should be fine for now
