Verbal Twittering

The act of talking without noticing (or caring) if anyone is listening.

I'm watching the game on TV while my wife is on the other sofa verbal twittering. I have no idea what she's saying and it's unlikely she'll stop anytime soon to notice.

A word by people who don't actually use twitter and are probably 20 years too old to be using twitter in the first place. Whenever used, they are referring to the word "tweet", but learned about twitter from a day-time talk show hosted by a 40-year-old woman who wants to tell parents what their kids are -really- doing every week.

Brian: Hey, are you twittering?
John: No, I'm tweeting that one more person who has no idea of what twitter is just commented on it.

While millions lost their homes to foreclosures, it seemed like Congress was mainly twittering. There were no signs of active, meaningful assistance.

Twitterbooking

The act of updating your Facebook status continually. Often including statuses such as 'is at the movies :)', 'i love (name)', 'is having a d&m with (name)', 'is having so much fun', 'goodnight everyone' and 'okay, im actually going to bed now, leave me love'. Most commonly done by people with bad spelling and grammar.

Person 1: Urghhhh, Stacey's Twitterbooking again.
Person 2: Seriously? Again? It's so annoying, when will she stop?
Person 1: Probably never.
