reductio ad hijab

A logical fallacy (part of ad hominem), when someone dismisses speaker's opinion and attacks speaker's personality just because she's wearing hijab/jilbab/niqab

Sometimes, this fallacy can go hand-in-hand with another fallacy like reductio ad hitlerum/Godwin's law (by accusing Islam religion or Middle East culture as racist, fascist, and such)

Example of reductio ad hijab:

You're wearing jilbab, therefore your opinion is discarded, and did I mention that your religion is a fascistic religion and spread through wars and conquests?

It's referred to someone who tries to be just like you but that person fails at their attempts.

Reductoid

The name for a person who fails to engage with the nuances or complexities of a controversial discussion, and instead takes the easy route of resorting to paint the opposing side with universally condemnable titles, such as "racist", "misogynist", "marxist" or "Nazi".

Reductoids espouse such judgements with an unfounded air of certainty and moral superiority, and often do so when they are incapable of reason.

Greg - "Well actually I believe that trans women should compete in male sports categ-"

Reductoid - "TRANSPHOBE"

Greg - "You didn't even get to hear out my argument, it is in good faith"

Reductoid - "Transphobic piece of shit, why do you hate trans people?"

Greg - "I don't hate trans people, you are being such a reductoid right now"
