A Punk is often mistaken for what they are. A true Punk is not a bad person at all. Many listen to Punk Rock but that is not required. Someone could never have heard Punk Rock and still be Punk. It is what is inside you and the way you deal with things. A Punk stands behind what they know and/or believe is true and correct. If someone disagrees they will not back down unless convinced. They will also make fun of them do something shocking that scares them without harming or stealing etc.. Punks will think and smile about them telling others others of what they did knowing they will likely hear them chuckle at what happened. Being a true Punk is a good thing that is and should be admirable. It does not require a mohawk or wild clothes but they are fine it is the way you are.

A fashion and genre of music originating from the mid 70s, thats all it is, it's never been truly anti establishment as it was all just a marketing ploy from the start, the Sex Pistols were essentially just an advertisement for Malcom Mclarens and Vivienne Westwoods fashion line, so in the end everyones a conformist who has bought into the rebellion and "anti-establishment"
do i really need an example? it's blatantly obvious punk's not "anti-establishment" as many people claim it to be, but people have the wool pulled over their eyes
