Conditional Invitation

When someone is invited to a social event on the condition that they don't come. Usually done to make sure someone knows that you don't want them there, rather then that you simply forgot to invite them.

'You can come out djanning with us on one condition, you don't come.'

Issuing an invitation which the other person can't accept, in the hope that you get credit for asking but don't have to follow through.

When you see you have a Facebook notification and open it only to find out it's either a notification you've already seen or a post you care absolutely nothing about, usually a posting in a group that for some reason you have to be a part of.
