Gringolandia

1.- The land of Gringos usually called the USA, where there is not official language but almost everybody speaks in English and they will hate to hear someone else speaks in another language.
2.- It is almost common there will be an Indian cashier available at the closest convenience store.
3.- You will find pretty repetitive the same fast food, supermarket, hotel, bank, and pharmacy chains in each city.
4.- Probably you may need a car to go from one place to another since distance between places are pretty large to walk.

Roberto: I wonder how is gringolandia?
Anita: Have you ever watched Beavis and Butthead, The Simpsons, Family Guy, or SouthPark?
Roberto: Yes
Anita: Well, basically those shows are the gringolandia stereotype.

GRINGA

A female native speaker of English, unrelated to race. Gringa is often defined as disparaging slang for a foreign female in Latin America. But that's no longer true in Costa Rica, if it ever was. We are gringos, the locals are ticos.

Newt Gringrich

A man who resembles a potato covered in marshmallow fluff, is a bit on the looney side, and is otherwise just a bad person for various reasons, but is also old as tar.

Wow, as old as this severely outdated text book is it still mentions Newt Gringrich as the former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. I am 100% serious.

gringo

1.-In Monterrey, Mexico, we use the word "gringo" for people who were born in the US.
It has nothing to do with race. It's not derogative.It's a nationality.
If someone says "pinche gringo" the derogative word is "pinche", not "gringo".
We call them gringos because it'd be stupid to call them "americans", since America is a continent, not a country.

2.- Something from the US

1.- Derek is gringo. He was born in Boston.
2.- Q:Where did you get those jeans?
A:They're gringos.
