Abandonment Culture

In dysfunctional families, abandonment culture takes on many forms of abandoning family members rather than having a sense of compassion, love and responsibility for one another. Abandonment culture can also be a part of society as a whole, having no sense of social responsibility for people living in poverty, homelessness, etc...

"We dropped grandma off at the nursing home because she's getting old. We're keeping abandonment culture alive and well."
"Your brother is down on his luck and is facing homelessness? He can't live with us, keeping abandonment culture strong."
"You're about to turn 18, we have no sense of family so I have to kick you out now as abandonment culture is a part of this defective family."
"You're pregnant, don't expect me to be there for this child. I plan on establishing abandonment culture in this family immediately."

Amanda

A girl who is worthy of love, as her name means. Intelligent, kind, and witty; she can light up a room simply with her smile. Her sense of humor is amazing, only fully appreciated by a few; if you can truly make her laugh then hold on to her, because she's special, and she knows you are too. Although quick to boast an air of confidence around others, she has a much more tender and meek side that she only fully exposes to individuals she's quite close with. She's an old soul with a youthful spirit; her wisdom mixed with her child-like playfulness makes her one of a kind and can only bring a smile to ones face. Amanda has a beauty of her own comparable to none (Natalie Portman comes close; just to give you an idea). Her beauty is as natural as the beauty of the sun, beaming through the breaking mammatus clouds after a silent storm; powerful and awe inspiring. She is loving, free, and wild. Amanda will also have an amazing butt.

Amanda

A crazy, hilarious, fun-loving, loveable girl who can be crazy, but serious when need be. She cares for everyone and tries her hardest to help any one in a rough situation or time. She follows God to the best of her abilities, an incredibly fascinating singer, a wonderful writer, and is the best friend any one could ever ask for. Has amazingly sparkly eyes, gorgeous hair (That I'm always jealous of -_-), and is beautiful inside and out. She brightens up everybody's day and her laughter can be heard from across the room, but you can't help but laugh yourself at how cute her laugh is...and it's contagious. She questions the world and thinks deep thoughts, making you wonder about the world also. She is very cautious about things and will look to her closest friends for help. She is also an amazing photographer and comes up with some of the greatest ideas ever!! It's always a blast to be with Amanda and some of the funnest times you have had is with an Amanda. She is always asking how you are doing and is never selfish. She just could be one of the best people you could know! :)
