Ahoyt is a word created by streamer Jason Itzler aka Mr. Based. It is a reference to the Hoyt - Schermerhorn St subway station near Itzler's New York City residence where a lot of shady things are known to go down. It is used as a verb and loosely means to get intoxicated and make regrettable decisions.

Recently, TikToker Joshua Block aka WorldofTshirts has coined the word as his own and states that it is a greeting similar to the sailor's greeting "ahoy," leading to confusion. Block has also begun to sell shirts using the word and claims to have intellectual rights to the word despite not creating it.

Person 1: Ahoyt!
Person 2: What? Who's gonna ahoyt? Its a Tuseday morning!
Person 1: Huh? What do you think ahoyt means?
Person 2: To get wasted and make poor decisions!
