A 2000s baby is someone who was born from January 1st, 2000 to December 31st, 2009. They are not to be confused with 2000s kids, who experienced their childhood in the 2000s decade. Early 2000s babies (2000-2003) are primarily 2000s kids, while mid and late 2000s babies (2004-2009) are 2010s kids.

If you were born in 2008, you are a 2000s baby and a 2010s kid.

2000s Aero

The original Frutiger Aero aesthetic as it emerged in the 2000s, defined by glossy surfaces, glassy reflections, skeuomorphic icons, and an overwhelming optimism about the digital future. Think Windows Vista and 7 wallpapers, Apple’s Aqua interface, early iPhone designs, and marketing imagery of sleek devices nestled in fields of grass. 2000s Aero was characterized by a belief that technology would bring us closer to nature and each other, rendered through high‑fidelity 3D renders, translucent panels, and vibrant colors. It was the aesthetic of the digital utopia that, in hindsight, was already showing cracks but still believed in itself.

The era before everything else that was the peak of humanity. Even though it was covered in toxic people and somewhat lazy and creepy media, it was way more creative than these newer decades.

The 2000s 

The decade sitting between the 1990s and the 2010s (2000 to 2009).

A time where women would wear low-rise jeans and Paris Hilton’s famous catchphrase "That's hot" was just born. Spilling over into the new millennium Hip-Hop culture was thriving and it was MTV’s last wave of playing music videos. It the era of the flip phone and iPod while teenagers were roaming on MySpace and communicating through AIM as they illegally downloaded music. Reality TV was just getting started and Youtube was just introduced as it gained momentum.

The 2000s were the complete opposite of the 1990s in terms of fashion, music, and culture. It was a time where it was cool to be cool. A time where subtlety did not exist. Currently, the 00s is a forgotten decade that is soon to be classified as a part of nostalgia just like the 80s and 90s.

I miss the 2000s, it was the coolest time to be alive. The 2010s were nothing compared to it.
