two-six

A Canadian term for a 26-ounce bottle of alcohol. The modern bottle is actually 750 mL (25.36 oz), but it is still commonly called a two-six nonetheless. (See also: two-four.)

I finished off a two-six of rum in one evening, and did not feel good the next morning.

The Six represents the city of Toronto, and originates from how Toronto is made up of the 6 former cities/boroughs of Toronto, North York, Scarborough, York and Etobicoke, and East York. Many people assume The Six comes from Toronto's area codes 416 and 647.

Gentleman's Six Pack

The Gentleman's Six Pack is the classiest of all evenings a man can enjoy. By definition, it is 7 beers, one more than a six pack. In real world application, it is having one more beer than a man should have had on any given evening.

To "star six" something is to finish or get rid of it. It is in reference to a sequence of buttons required by many voicemail systems to delete a message without having to listen to its full duration.

Brendan poured a glass of vodka and star sixed it quickly.

"I think I'll stop by the party at your place later, but I have to star six some business at work first."
