Recently, the term has become a label for people (primarily men) who possess the belief that men are oppressed in modern society and severe gender roles are absolute. The Red Pill 'group' is closely associated with the manosphere, and contains other well-known misogynist communities like: incels, men's rights activists, pick-up artists and Alpha/Sigma males.
Many of the more well known figures within this group take to social media to post content spreading their beliefs, this is known as 'Red Pill content'.
