The Sobergerist doesn't just expose bad arguments—they position themselves as the ultimate arbiters of what counts as real knowledge, using the tools of academic critique to establish and enforce epistemological boundaries while remaining immune to similar critique themselves. It's a form of intellectual gatekeeping armed with the full apparatus of scientific authority, philosophical rigor, and performative debunking, creating a fortress of legitimate knowledge that can dismiss any challenger as either fraudulent (Sokalism) or categorically invalid (Mobergerism).
