breakfast metal

A genre of metal music reminiscent of doom and sludge, often times improvised and recorded on first take. Breakfast metal bands usually have multiple vocalists and often times the musicians will change instruments from song to song. this genre was pioneered by Anal Whispersss in Columbus, OH in a basement near the Ohio State University campus.

I really wish there were more breakfast metal bands as good as Anal Whispersss.

Transition Metal

A Transition Metal is an element from the D block of the periodic table which forms at least one ion with an incomplete d sub–shell containing at least one electron.

Used ambiguously by the WJEC to annoy students, especially Sam Jones.

Sam: 'Hey Alex, what's a transition metal?'

Alex: 'It's a D block element that forms ions with incomplete d orbitals.'

Sam 'Yeah, but the WJEC aren't really clear on their definition. It's causing a lot of confusion.'

Alex: 'That's exactly the type of shit those cunts would do!'

olde metal

1: As opposed to nu metal, any heavy metal music from the time peroiod of metal's beginnings, to the beginning of the nu metal trend.

2: Heavy metal music of any time period that is true to the early metal styles.

Fans of olde metal may prefer Black Sabbath or Iron Maiden rather than Limp Bizkit or Linkin Park.
