In a game of cards such as Magic the Gathering or other when a player gives up and grabs (scoops up) all thier cards hastily leaving; this is known as "scooping."

I won rhe match because he had no hope so he scooped.

I'm so close to winning at 30 points, there is no hope for him at only 2 points left, I know this dude is thinking of scooping right now.
