a person who moves from a developed country to an developing country with the intention of enjoying an easier way of life, often at the expense of the locals. For example, many English teachers in East Asia like to convince others that they are serving or sacrificing for the populations in which they live and work for a salary far above local wages, but in reality, they are taking advantage of the people living in the host country.

Many of the opportunistic expats in Bangkok who frequent the city's whore houses must pretend that human trafficking does not exist.

In the current year, opsec is being used by an increasing number of everyday people to mask or spoof their online identities which are being aggressively tracked and recorded by governments and big tech.

Storing passwords in plaintext is terrible opsec.
