Contrary to popular belief, love isn't a feeling. Infatuation is a feeling, which is felt (if to a lesser degree) by three-year-olds and their sweethearts, high schoolers, middle-aged
people, and senior citizens alike. Love, in my opinion, is a way of living one'
s life to better another'
s. If a person is truly in love, he
will give freely of himself to make the other person, in whatever way, happier. It'
s making one'
s life so that EVERY ASPECT of that life is, in whatever way, working for the good of the other'
s. Total, total dedication. It'
s also allowing that person to give back those same actions selflessly. Love, when done correctly, doesn'
t directly benefit the person doing the loving; it'
s the reciprocation of love that makes everything worthwhile.
