The feeling of your sanity slipping that you get when you help someone make a plan to move forward in one direction, they agree, and then they revert to an old process and expect new results.

After we discussed the plan, I found that everything that was discussed was ignored, as if nothing had been discussed at all. It was maddening.

A fake torture weapon supposedly used in the 1600s. It was a vertical coffin designed usually with a face, with spikes on the inside so that when you closed it, the victim would be impaled and bleed out slowly.
