A common spelling mistake for the response "LMAO" and other versions of said acronym, usually with more O's or more random capitalization. LMAO stands for Laughing My Arse Off, and LMAI, stands for Laughing My Arse In. The word has 2 meanings.

1. Same usage as LMAO, communicating extreme hilarity. Usually to respond to a joke.

2. When someone says a joke and you don't think it's funny, but laugh sarcastically. Examples below.
