Attention seeker

I feel like this is misunderstood. Now, here me out. I'm sure we all know that one "attention seeker" in our lives, whether it be online or at school, or even in your own friend group. It may even be you who you think of when it comes to mind.

Let's look at this at the most basic and fundamental level - why do people attention seek? Well, to seek attention, of course. But why? Could it be because they don't get enough attention at home, or good attention? Could it be because they feel like no one cares about them, and so they do things to themselves to have a sense that someone cares? They aren't doing it to worry you, they're doing it to feel important.

Of course there are some exceptions to this, like causing drama amongst people or cause them to fight - they don't deserve sympathy, but if what they're doing affects them primarily, think twice before you judge so harshly. After all, they just want someone to care about them, is that really so bad?

Hi. In middle school, I used to be an attention seeker. I wasn't a bad person for that, I just felt like no one cared about me and I was getting ignored. I was yelled at and mistreated at home, and got called vilifying names. So at school I often did certain things for attention. I'm disgraced by this now, but I grew to realise what it meant. I wanted someone to care about me, to listen, to feel loved. Do you think I'm a bad person for that?

A lot of people do a lot of stupid things, but the main question to ask is why.

A person who goes to the job centre regularly pays for travel but although all requirements are being met by the job seeker payment from the job centre is withheld due to extremely uneducated staff.

Job seeker

"Hi I've applied for work and have worked previously for over ten years, I can't afford food or the bus fare could you help"

"Not my department you'll have to wait for 14 days, also you have another meeting here in a week"

Sleeper

The exact opposite of a ricer. A Sleeper looks stock but is heavily modified to preform better. Sleepers are often, like ricers, economy cars. Unlike ricers, sleepers can also be regualr sedans or any other vehicle that was not meant to be a preformance vehicle. Sleeper cars are ussually modified with boost (super or turbochargers), transmisions, and sometimes full engine swaps. Many people who drive sleepers use them to hustle at the strip or avoid attention from the cops. Many auto makers offer factory sleepers that are a sport version of the origional economy sedan with very few external changes. Some of the best sleepers of all time came from the muscle car era. The 1972 Chevy Nova is considered one of the best sleepers. The Nova is one of the most popular models to get turned into a sleeper. Most sleepers aren't true sleepers because they will have aftermarker gauges visible (real sleepers hide them in the glove box), racing slicks and loud pipes. A true sleeper will not be exposed until they reach the end of the track.

Chuck's 1968 Mustang GT500 got spanked by a 1960 Chevy Nomad Wagon. Chuck was the victim of a big time Sleeper when the Nomad lifted the front wheels in the air and he proceeded to see nothing but tail lights down the track.
