Kink Perspective Gap

A sociosexual phenomenon describing the disparity in perceived sexual normativity between individuals, wherein a behavior or preference considered unconventional, transgressive, or “kinky” by one person is regarded as ordinary or normative by another. This gap highlights the subjective nature of sexual boundaries, shaped by cultural, psychological, and experiential factors.
