Drowned Outrage

A phenomenon on social media and forums where many people complain about an outrage but never see any evidence for said outrage. This usually happens when a small minority opinion gets blown up with hyperbole and overshadowed by the counter-outrage.
Sometimes, the counter-outrage will also be overshadowed by people realizing they can't find the original outrage.

Where are the people they're complaining about? This has to be some drowned outrage.

Homosexual intercourse of any type. especially by those with anti-establishment or anarchist tendencies. Often something to be bragged about in polite company or state occasions/banquets as being done frequently and with great satisfaction.

We thought Mitch and Blaine were in their room studying, but when we returned we were horrified to see them performing the King's Outrage.

A claim that is a combination of shocking, unbelievable and ridiculous. The claim is generally dubbed an outrageous claim by a panel, being people who heard the claim or have professional or knowledgable backgrounds in the subject matter presented in the claim.
