A known rapper from New York who goes by the name of Sha Ek made the term more popular due to the fact that he has “Ek” in his stage name.

This can also be used for someone who is not associated with nor Bloods or Crips but is still gang affiliated. These gang members will associate themselves as “Everything killers(Ek)”
