Bushinomics

The US economic practice of encouraging large US banks and corporations who lobby US politicians to exploit the wealth and recourses of this planet. The practice of tax breaks and government bailouts have been used to facilitate Bushinomics. The term has also been known as "The last great transfer of wealth from the citizenry to Corporate America and Wall Street."

First rule of Bushinomics is to create inflation by increasing the supply of money, and then use increased supply of money to transfer wealth.

belushi

1) Combined intravenous injection of cocaine and heroin, more commonly referred to as a speedball.

This term is a reference to the American actor and comedian John Belushi (Saturday Night Live, National Lampoons Animal House, etc.) who's death is attributed to an overdose of this drug combination in March of 1982.

2) Synonymous with the phrase bullshit. The term originates from the accidental mispronunciation of "bullshit" resulting from alcohol intoxication.

This is, again, a reference to John Belushi due to the humorous context of the phrase and its alcohol related origins.

1) Some friends asked if I wanted to try a belushi, but it's a bit too hardcore for my tastes.

Acting like George Bush, i.e., generally being an evil jerk. Coined by David Letterman (or his writers, anyway), May 5, 2009 episode.

Did you hear after frightening NYC by strafing Manhattan with Air Force One and a couple of fighter planes, the White House has decided not to release the photographs? I don't know. I think they're Bushin' it up a bit on that one.
