ti-86

A graphing calculator ranking between the ti-83 and the ti-89. It can solve first degree equations, find zeros of polynomials, find solutions sets to simultaneous equations, and a lot of other spiffy things. Unlike the ti-89, however, it doesn't have a Computer Algebra System (CAS) and can't graph in three dimensions.

While my teacher thinks that I am doing math, I am actually playing games on my TI-86.

1. A far superior model to its counterpart, the ti-83. Can graph 3D functions, differentiate and integrate and calculate Taylor series. The symbol of a true math or science geek.

2. The main reason I'm passing college math.

TI-89 Titanium

God's calculator. Most of the questions of the SATs that require solving for variables or solving trigonometric identities can be solved by simply plugging them in to this beast of calculator.

John: "Hey Randall, what did you get on the math section of the SATs?"

Randall: "Oh, just an 800"

John: "800?!?! Didn't you get a 550 last time?"

Randall: "That was before I got my TI-89 Titanium!"
