Midnight Thoughts

personally how I would describe midnight thoughts

it's the thoughts that keep you up at night or the thoughts that don't let you sleep.

there's a difference between thinking at midnight and having midnight thoughts.

midnight thoughts usually come from guilt, regret, betrayal and mental issues that have scarred you for life and those thoughts haunt you during the night, when you can't distract yourself from it.

person 1: why are you still up it's late

person 2: I can't shake these Midnight Thoughts

Second thoughts

When you approach a girl at a bar or in a club and she doesn't want to talk to you or dance with you and blows you out, so you leave her alone. But later in the evening you see her making eyes at you because she has had second thoughts and decided she wants to talk to you after all.

To collect one's thoughts means to take time for his/herself after a particularly disturbing event, and to get his/her mind back in order.

Person1: Hey, what's up?

Person2: Becky and I just broke up last night.

Person1: Oh that sucks, how've you been handling it?

Person2: I dunno man, but I feel like complete shit.
