When someone makes up a new word or expression to describe something, and that word or expression is just so sublime and succinct that it is quickly adopted by the mainstream or the sub-mainstream, necessitating its inclusion in the Urban Dictionary.

Beyonce 'coined the term' bootylicious to perfectly describe a rounded butt (or Big Black Ghetto Arse, depending on how you look at it). Well done Beyonce. Sorry I can't do the little dash above the 'e' in your name but Robert's explanations are crap.

Short Term Fling

A no strings attached relationship where you and your partner are just having fun, usually sexual. No serious commitment or pressure involved, only casual encounters. Longer than a one night stand, but shorter than a long term relationship. More of a random hookup, friend with benefits. STF for short.

Doug: "I heard that Donna and Kevin broke up. That has to be really devastating to both of them. It seemed they were made for each other."

Jill: "And what rock are you living under?...LOL! They were just having in a short term fling and weren't committed to each other. They just wanted casual, non committal fun."

Off Term

An academic term spent away from campus, during which, those involved experience dramatic decreases in strength, increase in unhealthy weight, loss of mental toughness, and all around drop in human significance.

Known side effects include, but are not limited to: numerous travels to exotic locations, abundance of attractive women, frequent instances of all night clubbing, lack of stress and/or obligations, and a life changing experience. If these side effects persist upon return to campus, seek medical attention immediately.

Several Hot Spots Include: Barcelona, Spain; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Madrid, Spain; Rome, Italy;

Because the effects of an Off Term can never be cured, it is important to approach those experiencing the effects with compassion and understanding.

A weird unatural word, phrase etc. that you searched on urubandictionary to make sure that you created to make sure it's not a posted word to "create". Say you came up with a word, and you want to upload it onto UD, so you search it to make sure that you are the only one with that word and definition, to be cool.

Dick: hey I came up with a new word.
Charlotte: what is it.
Dick: deserted term, it means from the above!
Charlotte: ok cool lets search it on UD and make it a word.

To be flirting with someone, running after them, or hitting on them, complimenting them cause you have a somewhat interest in them etc.

Sasha : I know, but he has a girl friend and he's only tracking me. Every time I go to some bar and I'm alone he always coming and flirting with me or something. Like what the hell.
