morgantown

A beautiful town between lots of wilderness and bigger cities. There isn't much to do if you don't like outdoor activities or getting stoned or drunk. One of the tourist attractions is that it is next to Pittsburgh. Like its a big deal or something. Not everyone is a stupid redneck or an intoxicated clown. There are also very intelligent people who just want to live their lives and have fun, and not worry about being a party town, and would rather the tourists stayed away anyway.

Morgantown is a beautiful town if you don't count those half naked girls puking on the sidewalk with no shoes on when it it snowing.

mofanity

Mormon profanity, commonly used by people from Utah and the surrounding intermountain west who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which strongly discourages the use of profanity.

Common mofanity terms include:
"dang" instead of "damn", as in, "Where did I put my dang car keys?"
"fetch" instead of "fuck", as in, "Oh, fetch! The dang keys are locked in the car!"
"fricken'" instead of "fucking", as in, "Who the fetch locked the dang keys in the fricken car?"
"heck" instead of "Hell", as in, "Oh my heck, honey! You locked the keys in the car "again"?" (The expression "Oh, my heck" is apparently derived from "Oh, my Hell," which is apparently derived from "Oh, my heavens," which apparently is not at all an okay thing to say.)
"shoot" instead of "shit", as in, "Oh, shoot! I just slammed my fingers in the car door and it hurts like heck!"

Morality

Morality is not one thing for one person and something else for another. Morality is a set of guidelines in order to help us live our lives as positively and effectively so that we all may ultimately have a greater grasp at the pursuit of happiness. If we follow our morals, we may find and instill in our souls a greater glimpse of Joy and Peace than we could ever fathom. And if we follow this path, we may find ourselves engulfed in the Grace of God.

Morality is not: It's wrong to drink. Sex before marriage is bad.

Morality is: Do not let drinking, eating, as well as money consume you and take you from the more important things in life, such as God.

If I have sex before marriage, I might thirst more for Lust than Love and/or this could ultimately destroy my future as a loving husband/wife or father/mother.

Morality

A method by which an act can be labeled "right" or "wrong" or "neither". Many moral philosophies exist.

Egoism: "Drinking is wrong because it is bad for me."

Hedonism: "Drinking is right because it makes me feel good."

Utilitarianism: "Drinking is right because it brings about more good than evil."

Libertarianism: "Drinking is not wrong since it does not infringe on anyone elses liberty. It is not right since I am also at liberty to NOT drink."

Divine Command Theory: "Let's burn witches! the Bible says we should."

Christian morality requires that you kill your disobedient children.

Bureau of Morality

A fictional organization from the alternate reality game to the Nine Inch Nails Album Year Zero. The purpose of the Bureau is to keep citizens in line and make sure they aren't doing anything they consider "un-american" such as expressing dissapointment with the government. Extreme punishments are handed down to people who do break their laws and use their voice.

Our schoolboard's really become the Bureau of Morality, it sucks!
