The Microphone

A word used to describe someone with a large afro when you see them from behind. The large afro giving the appearance of being the microphone head/foam and the body being the handle. This usually only applies to those skinny enough to look like the microphone handle, however.

Brian: "While walking in the mall the other day, a dude a few people in front of me was straight rocking The Microphone with a vengeance! Shit barely even bounced as he walked!"

1. A phrase used to describe the release of an inferior new album by a popular or critically acclaimed musical act, the belief being that said band is so popular they could "fart in a microphone", release it, and sell a million copies.

2. A release by an artist whose popularity has eclipsed the music's quality.

U2 have some pretty awesome albums, but their last one was like a fart in a microphone - people just buying them because it says "U2" on the cover.
