Madden-bate

When you are forced to spend the night playing Madden by yourself, with just the voice of Gus Johnson to keep you comfort. Often this happens when your bro ditches you to go spend time with his girlfriend. It is normal to feel slightly ashamed once you complete a round of Madden-bating.

Zach: Hey man, let's go play some Madden.
Brendan: Nah dude, I gotta go buy some furniture with my girlfriend.
Zach: Oh, damn. Looks like I'm gonna have to go home and Madden-bate all night.

In American Football, when a defender swats a ball out of the air and thinks he's made a good play only for a receiver to then run onto the ball before its hit the ground and make a catch. It is so called because of the popular Madden video games where it happens frequently.

A condition that will begin afflicting users of the hotly anticipated "Madden 2010" after prolonged periods of gameplay. The first sufferers will be the midnight buyers, who will begin sensing symptoms at around 4 A.M. on August 14th, 2009.

Madden 10-dinitis will result in a brief, but severe drop, in productivity for the following work-week of the American economy, as upwards of 7 million people will have called in with the condition.

Alfonze (on phone): Hey boss, I got bad news. Yeah, I got tendinitis and won't be able to come into work until Monday at the earliest. That cool?

A degree of learning acquired by American males that gives them a false sense that have the required knowledge to quarterback pick-up football games.

To earn a Madden Diploma one must lead an undefeated team to the super bowl in Madden 10, and, most importantly; believe that because they won 19 meaningless games on Madden, they now have superior knowledge of the X’s and O’s of football, and are best suited to run offence and defense in a 7 on 7 back yard game.
