Insomnia is a cruel joke.

insomnia is a sleep disorder. even when you're dead tired, you cant sleep.

i have insomnia. last night i got to sleep at 4:30. i have to wake up at 5:20. every day i drink enormous amounts off caffeine. i still walk around like a zombie.

every morning in homeroom, this girl asks me how i slept, while telling me how she went right to sleep right away.

idiot in homeroom: hey, how'd you sleep? i slept greeeat.

me: i have insomnia. leave me alone.

insomnia

Stupid disorder that can't be controlled easily. You can't sleep, no matter how much you want it you can't get it, maybe a few hours.. but that's it. I have insomnia, I take tylenol pm or melatonin to get to sleep, rarely do they help and yet they are strong acting. In short, insomnia is a disorder in which one cannot find sleep.

Bob: How did you sleep jim? I slept like a baby!
Jim: I slept like an insomniac you fucking bastard!

reverse insomnia

(N.) Unlike insomnia, reverse insomnia is when one wants to wake up but cannot due to being too comfortable, too exhausted from sleeping, etc.

My Saturday was ruined when my Reverse Insomnia kept me in bed until 5 PM.

Insomniac

1) A person that suffers from the sleeping disorder insomnia
2) Green Day's fourth LP, released after Dookie. A spectacular album that's as underrated as Dookie is overrated. Insomniac does not completely have the fun, don't-give-a-fuck-about-the world sound that Dookie does (for example : track no. 8, Panic Song, is about bassist Mike Dirnt's panic attacks)
This album should be owned (or listened to) by anyone that considers themself a Green Day fan. You won't be disappointed. If Insomniac isn't as good as Dookie then it's better.
And this is coming from someone who's favorite Green Day album is Dookie.

Recommended tracks on Insomniac are #9 and #14.

Facebook Insomnia

When you can't sleep, so you patrol your Facebook News Feed for new entries to comment on, or reload your page over and over again in the hopes that someone has commented on your feed, thus dignifying your existence on Facebook at four in the morning.

Roger: Seriously, I had the worst case of Facebook Insomnia last night.

John: Did you end up finding anyone to talk to?

Roger: Not really. Katie was on, and I commented on her feed, but she never kept it going. Then later, I found out that she was still online, but ignoring me.

John: Bitch...

Roger: I know, right? We're like kindred spirits...
