Sports related, (American football). When a passed ball is intercepted by the opposing team due to the passed ball being deflected by one or more persons of either team.

One dude: "How did the white-shirt-wearing guys get the ball?"

Other dude: "The red-shirt-wearing guys tried a Hail-Mary-Long-Bomb, the ball bounced off the dude's head, and the white-shirt-wearing guys ended up with a deflectaception."

The kind of person who uses esoteric phrases not in common parlance who when questioned tells you to google them rather than explaining themselves.

Rather than tell the detective what he meant by someone being "washed" he instead told him to google it like the deflecting douche he was.
