Asperger's Syndrome

Asperger’s Syndrome (AS) is a neurodevelopmental condition related to the autism spectrum. Affected individuals (usually of normal or above average intelligence, capable of intense focus, strong attention to detail, painstaking adherence to policies and procedures, unorthodox problem-solving and high productivity in the areas of their interests and aptitudes) are prone to motor coordination impairments, sensory oversensitivities, have difficulty interacting socially along “unwritten rules”, reading nonverbal language or navigating workplace politics, may prefer solitary activities and are often viewed as eccentric. As a tragic result, many end up un- or underemployed and on the receiving end of prejudice , bullying , negative stereotyping, harassment and discrimination.

Here's a victory story about a SoCal woman with Asperger's Syndrome who stood firm and fought a good fight -- and won her case against an employer! It's people like this who make life better for Aspies who are not able to break through on their own, who rely on others to carve a path that they can follow. I'm grateful for those with the ability to make a difference such as this woman has done. Just read. It will warm the cockles of your heart and make this Thanksgiving Day better!

Basically a shorter way to say "Asperger's Community". This is often confused with uneducated dipshits (i.e. The person who wrote the definition below, MickeyMouse7) as the disorder itself.

Intelligent Aspie: Actually, 'Aspergia' is a slang term for the Asperger's Community, not the disorder.

aspen music festival

A summer music festival that everyone comes to to get drunk, high, and fuck. Most students are cocky asians, and the RAs are assholes, especially the fat one. There are no practice rooms and the food is shit. The second you arrive, everyone wants to go home. The locals are rich white racists who hate the music school.

Wow, you went to the Aspen music festival? How did you survive those two months?

Aspen is a name for a gorgeous girl with beautiful hair, in which everyone cherishes her name for being named after the most celebrity-liked place in the world. She is clumsey and often makes mistakes, but in the end she is loved and appreciated because she is open minded and helps people who is going through a hard time. Her name is uncommon, but is beautiful and makes herself original.

David: Hey, did you hear about that Aspen Chick?
Taylor: Yeah, she is that girl who is named after a city in Colorado, right?
David: Yeah, she helped me get through that problem i had in June.

Taylor: Yeah, i heard she has helped a lot of people.

Aspen Hill

The little town of Maryland (in MoCO) that is known for absolutely nothing. Oh, except for many of the 2002 sniper shootings being there. It's in between Wheaton, Rockville and Olney, and has the characteristics of all of those places, but mostly Wheaton. There's not a lot to do, but hey.
