Get the News mug.(Derives from the Dragon Ball Community.)
A New-gen Ningen refers to someone who is part of the "newer" generation of a fanbase, and tends to be one of the most outspoken and hated parts of a community, most likely having not seen the show except through YouTube Shorts/TikTok, and making assumptions based on parodies or misinformation.
- A huge example of this is the Twitter Dragon Ball Community. Many of the people there just argue about Goku all the time, making up feats or saying things that he'd never do like brutally murdering someone in one shot. They take certain characteristics of Goku and then amplify them to 11.
Name Origin:
- 'New-gen' refers to this being the newer generation of fans
- 'Ningen' is mortal in Japanese. In Dragon Ball, a villain called Zamasu hates mortals, and uses this word a-lot. For this reason, the word 'ningen' has become a staple in the Dragon Ball community, which is why the community calls them 'New-gen Ningens'. Calling them mortals is also a way to look down upon this toxic and newer side of a community as well.
