drop bear

A marsupial related to the koala but much more aggressive in nature. Drops from trees onto unsuspecting prey and rips them apart with their large teeth and claws. Several people who go camping in the Australian outback fall victim to this creature each year.

I don't know the answer to that question. But the yield curve is in bear steepener.

We were tits on a bear until the police drove by and didn't see us hiding. The game was tits on a bear until they overcame that 20 point deficit in the last quarter.

bear's pears

Meaning: Exceptionally good or unique.

Origin: It's a lesser known fact outside of zoology professionals that bears love pears. While most bears do not encounter pears in the wild, pears can make for a delightful snack in the conservatory. However, feeding bears pears is a relatively inefficient way to provide quality snacks and given the average price for pears, it would be a costly habit to begin with bears in zoos or other conservation habitats.

I heard the boss took Marc out to that fancy steak house because of his leadership on that last project. That's just the bear's pears.
