sellwood

A happinin party scene under the Sellwood bridge on the Willamette River in portland, oregon. Usually frequented in the spring although every now and then something will be goin down here in the summer. usually a keg party single, double, triple, whatever. Every once in awhile a lone bum will stroll along looking for some free brew.

Yeah we'll probably end up at Sellwood as long as it doesn't rain.

shellac

A derogatory repurposing of the original word ("shellac" usually refers to lac resin which is often melted down to make varnish, or, to the purpose here, a thin varnish containing the lac resin) which is used to characterize someone of thin character; all surface, no substance.

A frequently misheard line in The Beastie Boys' "3-Minute Rule:" "'Cause I'm running things like a shellac motherfucker."

sell out

An urban myth given by people who have nothing better to do than slag off people in the music world who have found a way of making money. Selling out usually involves a rock band being played on the radio. Even though the songs sound the same, people don't really care. if its on the radio, it sucks, even thought it has been liked before. It is used by the following people:
1) small minded teenagers who decide things aren't cool cause more than one person listens to them
2) rock mags like kerrang who decide that bands who are liked by more than one person are scum of the earth (but in nicklebacks case, they were right. That band really does suck)

The very definition of cool. This kind of kid never does anything that will make him look like a nerd and always tries to take credit for everything that is anything. This kid will deny ever Playing World of Warcraft to boost his public popularity and will flipp if anyone says he did. He will have very specifc friends and Acquaintances and he has a best friend called Naveed.

Guy 1: Hey look, its sellers
Guy 2: ..... He is such a cool kid with his best mate Naveed
