Dosser

A dosser is term commonly used the south-west of ireland to describe someone who doesn’t have a job, doesn’t want to do anything productive or anything to better their lives. A lot of these people live off social welfare payments (dole heads) to sit back and do nothing while their friends and family partake in education or employment.

A lot of dossers take drugs, drink alcohol, and complain about their dossery livelihoods all while doing absolutely nothing to change it.

It probably originates from the podcast "DOSED with Abby Martin", spreading from the West Coast to the Midwest around 2023.
