Coined on episode 33 of the Bloody Gun Club podcast, to nerdcheck is to correct someone with (overly) technical details, especially when it has no real effect on the conversation or situation. The correction usually starts with, "actually" or "technically." It usually makes you want to yell, "WHATEVER!" in their face.
"Person1: The song is 3 minutes long."
"Person2: Technically, 3 minutes and 2 seconds."
"Person1: Don't ever nerdcheck me again."

Nerdcore can be made in any style of music, but most people identify it in either its pop-punk or hip-hop forms. Although many people think the term "nerdcore" was made up by MC Frontalot, it has in fact been in use by rock bands for many years prior to Frontalot's use of the term.
