Intersecting Terminology occurs when a term is utilized by different groups with a similar purpose but an entirely different meaning. Example: A company uses the term "Launch," along with a projected and actual date. Several departments within the company have a different definition of the term, which causes confusion, finger pointing and frustration throughout the organization.
