When a person has pointy ears, the actual points themselves are called "ear nipples". Most pointy-eared people have two ear nipples (one on each ear); however, it is possible to have one ear nipple & one normal ear.

We call Dro "Andros Half-elvin" because he has one ear nipple & one normal ear.
